Herban Legends proud sponsor of the Punk Rock Flea Market Seattle
Say what you will about the PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET but NEVER say they are scared to take chances! In that spirit of experimentation, for the first time ever PRFM is going to take place at the northwest corner of the SEATTLE CENTER. With the full participation of KEXP, The Vera Project and the SIFF Film Center!
Since 2006, the biannual Punk Rock Flea Market has provided an opportunity to procure locally made goods while eating a locally made snack, listening to locally selected music, and supporting a locally relevant cause, the Low Income Housing Institute. Revelry, booze and vendors welcome to sell anything at all, there is no limit.
“From humble beginnings in a burnt-out Belltown basement, the Punk Rock Flea Market has grown into a living breathing organism with ideas of its own... Hundreds of peddlers pile into a temporary location to sell an enormous variety of untold riches. A combination police auction and neighborhood swap meet in Andy Warhol’s garage.”
And that ain't the half of it!
“Don't let the name lead you to believe that we only welcome vendors selling punk records, clothes etc. This is a full on flea market with everything from furniture, to computers, to stereo equipment, to handmade apparel, to vegan treats, information from non profit groups, bookstores, artists selling their work, bicycles & skateboards and whatever else we can fit into the space. The "Punk Rock" of the name refers as much to the DIY spirit of the event as it does to any particular music or lifestyle. 'Nuff said.”
The market will be OPEN to the public;
noon to 10:00 on Saturday April 29th 2017
and noon to 5:00 on Sunday April 30th 2017
The bar will be OPEN and we will have a combination of DJ’s and live music BOTH DAYS. As always, ALL AGES are welcome and all proceeds above and beyond production costs benefit our dear friends the Low Income Housing Institute.
All this for a cool $1 admission.
DO NOT MISS IT!!!
